Description:Project: RI Dist.3000 Level Tamil RYLA for the rural children from 8 civil Districts in Tamil Nadu State -South India.
Background of the Project: Under the Youth Service Grant (YSG) Project initiated by Rotary eClubOne in the 2015-2016 Rotary year, Isaac Arulappan, a member of Rotary eClubOne initiated to conduct RYLA in Tamil Language for the benefit of the rural poor school going children studying in Tamil Medium Schools in a tribal village community name Kodaikanal in the state of Tamil Nadu in South India. This Annual RYLA continued for the past 8 long years with the help of Rotary eClubOne through the Collaborating Organization in partnership with the Rotary Club of Kodaikanal in RI Dist.3000.
The current District Governor Rtn.Major Donor.I.Jerald, of Rotary International District 3000 appreciating this great project truly helping the rural poor children get leadership training, has now requested Isaac and the Rotary Club of Kodaikanal to conduct this Tamil RYLA selecting the needy children from the clubs in the entire Rotary International Rotary District 3000.
Project Description: The District 3000 Level Annual Tamil RYLA Committee with the guidance of the Sponsor/host Rotary Club of Kodaikanal will ask applications from one or two candidates recommended by the 129 Rotary Clubs functioning in the RI Dist.3000 and a total of 75 participant students will be selected from all applicants submit the applications before the last date. All children participating in this District Level RYLA will be from Tamil Medium School going boys and girls. This time the Project will be conducted for 2 days helping the participants and Resource Persons get board and lodging at Kodaikanal under the volunteering support of Rotarian Isaac, member of eClubOne and the President and all members of the cosponsoring Rotary Club of Kodaikanal.
Methodology of the Project: The Dist.3000 level RYLA Project Conducting Committee members will select 75 children and Resource Persons/RYLA Trainers and all will be arriving the Venue before Friday evening of the fixed date and Tamil RYLA program will start on Saturday and will be over with Lunch on Sunday.
History of Involvement:This International Level Youth Service Project from the Youth Service Grant initiated by Rotary eClub One, Based in Boulder, in RI Dist.5450, CO USA in the year 2015 - 2016 Rotary Year by the then Rotary eClub One Member and the Chair of Youth Service Project Chair Amy, from Australia. And from this starting year to till this year, The said Project has been conducted for the benefit of one tribal people living community named Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu State - South India. Now, at the request of the poor Tamil Medium School going children and accepting the suggestions of the RI Dist.3000 District Governor I.Jerald and his District level Team that appreciated the past Tamil RYLA conducted very well with wonderful result as the participants always gave their best participation and witnessed that this is the best Leadership Training they ever received in their life and assured that, this Tamil RYLA has been a life changing event, that the Project Applicant Isaac Arulappan, the Member of Rotary eClub One after discussing with the Sponsoring Rotary Club of Kodaikanal, requesting eClubOne and that of the RI Dist.5450 with the requested grant help for this Project.
Location:RI Dist.3000 level Tamil RYAL will be conducted in Kodaikanal in the State of Tamil Nadu in South India.
