President's Message MARCH 2014

March 3, 2014

Rotary Greetings

Welcome to March!

Yesterday I had the chance to do something that Rotarians in conventional clubs take for granted, I shared a meal with our President Elect Tracy Adams.  Tracy was in town to attend a four district wide President Elect Training Seminar (PETS).  Tracy will post some pictures on her Facebook page, so check out all the celebrities she met while attending PETS.

Tracy is just one of the newly elected Board of Directors.  A big congratulations and great thanks go to all who will serve the 2014-2015 year:   Please welcome the new officers:

President – Tracy Adams

President Elect Jeremy Penner

Past President – Deborah Brackney

Treasurer – Joe Spears

Secretary – Emmanuel Serrière

Service Committee Chair – Jason Griffith

Public Relations Chair- Tressa Breindel

Membership Chair – Megan McLean

Club Administration – Buchi Akpeh

Foundation Chair – Charlie Tegarden

The one time of year that we get to spend some face -to -fact time is at our Rotary International Convention.     Over 24 Rotarians and their families will be attending the conference in Sydney.    Our annual dinner is Monday June 2nd.   Chris Joscelyne reports that there are over 100 tickets sold for the Grand Banquet.   It will be a wonderful evening.  For more information about this event and others at the convention, please go to the website.  Our eClub secretary and website liaison, Emmanuel, created an entire page of Sydney activities.     Regarding our website, Emmanuel reported that we had 4,798 make ups in January.  That is an incredible number of guests attending our club.

As I end this message, I want to say “thank you” for being part of this special club.  In January, 86% of you, our members, participated in Rotary activities, 68% of you voted on a revision to our bylaws and 10 of you applied for and received Community Service Grants to support good works in your community.  So while we may not have the luxury of a meal together, the work of this club is impressive.

In Rotary gratitude

Deb

President, eClub One 2013-2014
